Results

Here’s a list of races worth mentioning, run and triathlon events, starting 2009 when I was rather clueless. I have learned the hard way, the trail-and-error way which eventually have led to some decent results.

2017 I wanted to give the Swedish Triathlon Series a go with the ambition to be on the podium on every of the four races that make up the series.

2016 was going to be a year of recovery with no goals and very little races. In spite of a quite low training volume, no plan or goals I still managed to get some decent results.

My first aquathlon and first overall victory. One of my strongest performances, especially on the hilly trail run.

Despite poor race preparations I still managed to deliver on the day, mostly due to pure willpower. *The swim was shortened to about half distance due to strong winds and choppy sea.

I was on a new personal record below 2:50 at about 4 kilometers to go when the wheels came off completely, forcing me to wobble across the finish line.

2015 was the year I was aiming to quality for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. It had been a dream for the last 5 years. I increased my training volume dramatically and was the in shape of my life but did not deliver on the day.

Half Ironman

I have raced Sövde half ironman many times now. The course changes from year to year so times are difficult to compare, but this was one of my better performances. However, every year offers a hilly and challenging course.

My main objective 2014 is to work on speed and technique, particularly running. In the end my goal is to get faster on the half ironman distance and below.

A very tough and hilly course that was a bit out of my league, training mostly on flat roads, but a great experience being at a European Championship.

Duathlon

Joined the race in the last week to try out my first duathlon race. I did well, although I struggled with some cramps, the pacing and fluid intake. The distances were not very accurate and both the run and bike on hilly courses.

A small local race organized by my running club that served the purpose of testing my running progress. Main goal was to go under 1:20 which I did quite comfortably.

My main objective 2013 was improving my run speed and muscular endurance in all disciplines, which is reflected in my race results.

My goal was under 09:30 and my form was great. Due to a 4 min penalty and some rookie mistakes I missed out by a few seconds.

Half Ironman

A new course and a very tough one, to say the least. On top of that the distances were quite further than the standard Half Ironman distances, resulting in disappointing splits. But I got podium.

A spectacular race with over 22 000 participants. I did not know what to expect from this race as it ws early in the season and a quite hilly course.

This year I was going to step up to full Ironman distance so I needed to increase volume, organize, plan and optimize my training a lot more than previous years.

My first ever Marathon. Despite a knee injury I was stubborn to get to start. I lasted about 38 kilometers then my right knee surrendered.

2011 was my first year understanding what it takes to deliver decent results, and started to organize my training a bit more opposed to just go out and swim, bike and run whatever I was in the mood for.
